When you register for postpartum care we collect, among other things: name, date of birth, BSN (Dutch citizen service number), address, phone number, email address, expected due date, health insurer and policy number, midwife name, special notes and information about pets.

BSN is only processed to correctly bill your health insurer and because Dutch law requires healthcare providers to use it.

We use your data solely for: fulfilling the kraamzorg agreement, preparing and providing care, billing your health insurer, and meeting legal obligations under Dutch healthcare law (Wgbo, Wkkgz, Wet BSN in de zorg).

Processing is based on your consent (registration form), the performance of the care agreement, and the legal obligations of healthcare providers.

Medical records are kept for 20 years in accordance with the Dutch Medical Treatment Agreement Act (Wgbo). Registrations that do not result in care are deleted within 6 months of receipt.

Data is shared only with parties necessary for delivering care or where legally required, such as your health insurer (for billing) and midwife (for care coordination). We never sell or share your data with third parties for commercial purposes.

We take appropriate technical and organisational measures to protect your data against loss or unlawful processing, including encrypted connections (HTTPS), access restrictions and secured storage.

You have the right to access your data, to have it corrected or deleted, to restrict processing, to data portability, and to object to processing. Send a request to info@kraamzorgsifa.nl and we will respond within 30 days.

You can also file a complaint with the Dutch Data Protection Authority (Autoriteit Persoonsgegevens) at autoriteitpersoonsgegevens.nl.

Our website uses no tracking or analytics cookies. Only a functional security cookie is set when an administrator signs into the internal admin panel; it is not visible to visitors of the public site.
